Holidays in a wonderful, typical Swiss wooden chalet in Brienz!
This venerable chalet is our grandfather's childhood home, which was later divided into three apartments and has remained in the family.
Thus, a popular place for relaxation with a wonderful view of the lake and the mountains was created in the top floor as well as on the ground floor.
Ideal for families
The ground-floor apartment is especially family-friendly: right outside the door is the garden with a sandpit where children can play. The lakeside swimming area and the animal park are close by.
Getting around without a car is easy too, as there is a bus stop very close to the house.
Ideal for couples and solo travellers
The top-floor apartment is made for two: from the balcony the view stretches far across Lake Brienz to the mountains. A lovely spot for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
If you like hiking, there are plenty of trails in Brienz and around the lake, and the steam railway runs up the Brienzer Rothorn.
A pearl in the Bernese Oberland is the charming village of Brienz, beautifully situated on the turquoise-colored lake of the same name at the foot of the Brienzer Rothorn (2350m above sea level).
The historic wood-carving village still houses a well-known school for wood carving and violin making.
During a stroll through the old part of town, you can see the typical Brienz chalets.
Walking along the quay, you can feel the breath of the lake with its fascinating moods.
Brienz is an ideal starting point for many excursions and activities.
Winter sports and hiking in Meiringen-Hasliberg, Axalp, or Grindelwald with the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, swimming in Lake Brienz, or one of the countless hiking routes by the lake or in the mountains invite you to visit.
